Discrimination, Insult, Intimidation and Harassment

It is the policy of Northeast USD 246 to maintain a learning and working environment that is free from discrimination, insult, intimidation or harassment due to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin or disability. Any incident of discrimination, insult, intimidation or harassment (Bullying) in any form shall promptly be reported to an employee’s immediate supervisor, the building principal or the district compliance coordinator (Randy Rivers, Superintendent, 1001 E South Street, Arma, KS 66712 (620) 347-4116) for investigation and corrective action by the building or district compliance officer. The school district will act to investigate all complaints, either formal or informal, verbal or written of discrimination, insult, intimidation and harassment and to discipline any student or employee who commits and act of discrimination, insult, intimidation or harassment. Any school district action taken pursuant to this policy will be consistent with the requirements of applicable collective bargaining agreements, Kansas statutes and school district policies. The school district will take such disciplinary action it deems necessary and appropriate, and such action may include a written warning, suspension, expulsion, non-renewal or termination of employees.
