Judy Bache - P.E. and Health Teacher

October 04, 2004

I teach Elementary Physical Education and Junior High Girl's Health and PE.  I was born in Kansas City, Mo. in 1949, making me officially a senior citizen!  I have 4 brothers and 1 sister.  I graduated from Colgan in ’67.  I went to PSU and graduated with a BSED in 1980.  Over the years I’ve added about 60 hours to my resume.

I began teaching in Liberal, Mo.  I substituted for one year and began teaching in Arma.   At that time I taught 6th grade Spelling and Junior High Girl's PE and study hall.  I also taught 9th grade Girl’s PE and First Aid, later Health.  I try to attend workshops offering new ideas and techniques in the field of physical education to keep as current as possible. Over the years, I’ve taught many students, now I’m teaching their kids!

I married Jack in ’82. Between us we have 3 children and 5 grandchildren with one on the way.  He’s director of the YMCA, as such we’ve gone to several National Conventions:  Anaheim, St. Louis, New Orleans, San Diego, Clearwater, Fla.   He was involved with Babe Ruth baseball which took us to Jamestown, N.Y. (home of Lucille Ball) and Manchester, N.H.  On those trips we went to Niagara Falls and Hampton Beach.

I love to read (both fiction & magazines, especially Health articles), go to the Y and workout aerobically and lift weights.  I love those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer.  I listen to goldie oldies.  We have 4 dogs and 2 cats.  I love to go to KC.
