Hi. I'm Norma Hiatt, elementary counselor and nurse. I grew up in Pittsburg and attended PSU many times. I taught English for eight years in California and Missouri. I then worked as a pediatric nurse at Mt. Carmel in Pittsburg. I began counseling at Sheldon, MO, then worked at Ft. Scott and Frontenac. I began working at Northeast Elementary in 1992. I really enjoy our students. Each one is unique and special, and I feel fortunate to get to watch them learn and grow. I live with my husband, dogs and cats in Pittsburg. We have three children and four grandchildren. My hobbies are playing with the grandchildren, gardening, and playing music.
