Lori Pommier Biography
by Lori Pommier
August 23, 2006
My name is Lori Pommier, and I am very excited to be teaching K-5 music here at Northeast. I will also be directing the senior play and coaching forensics.
I am originally from the Uniontown, Kansas area, where I attended West Bourbon Elementary and Uniontown High School. I was involved in the school newspaper, choir, band, and our school news crew. I attended Fort Scott Community College, followed by the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. I lived in New York for a short time after graduating, and then I moved back to Southeast Kansas to work on my Music Education degree at Pittsburg State University. For the last three years, I have been teaching K-12 music in Archie, Missouri.
I think that I have the best job in the school. Music can be so much fun, and teaching music, while sometimes challenging, is a great opportunity for me to "play" every day of my life. I believe in teaching a subject and then doing an activity or playing a game to reinforce what has been taught.
I am happy to be here at Northeast. I think that Mrs. Warford and I will be able to bring great things to your community!
