4th Graders Turn Hallway Into a Tropical Rain Forest

September 20, 2007

Mrs. Herrell and Mrs, Puckett’s 4th grade students have been learning many things about tropical rain forests.  They studied the four layers of a rain forest and the type of animal and plant life in each layer.  They learned about the location of earth’s tropical rain forests and about the many products we can find in our own homes that come from the rain forests.  At the end of our study we decided to bring a little of the rain forest to our school.

The students cut out many trees, vines, bushes, flowers, and animals and arranged them in the four layers on the hallway wall across from Mrs. Herrell’s classroom..  Come by and visit our rain forest; you’ll feel like you’re right there!
