4th and 5th Grade Honor Choir

Forty-two students auditioned for 20 spots in the 2008 4th and 5th Grade Honor Choir. Students sang a song that was prepared in class, and were graded on pitch, rhythm, diction and classroom behavior.
The following students were accepted into the choir: Gabriel Balk, Michael Balk, Breiyana Binegar, Kaylee Bogina, Ellie Burns, Hope Cole, Jessica Cox, Falynn Dewitt, Jesslynn Ewan, Tyler Fleske, Kimberly Fraker, Caitlynn Harris, Aaron Heinrich, Claire Horn, Stephanie Lechliter, Hunter Phillips, Ashlee Setina, Jasmine Tindle, Reyna Valenzuela and Jessica Zamora.
The students are looking forward to three performances. They will sing April 19 at the Fort Scott Community College Vocal Festival, April 22 at the 4th and 5th Grade Spring Program at 7:00 p.m., and April 26 for the Worlds of Fun Festival of Choirs at 7:15 p.m. In addition to singing in the choir, several students will be preparing vocal solos to sing at the FSCC festival.
The choir will rehearse every Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. Anyone who would like to schedule the choir to sing for them should contact Lori Pommier at lpommier@usd246.org.
