Internet and Cell Phone Safety

On April 15th, Crawford County Attorney, Michael Gayoso, visited with Northeast Junior High students about Internet and cell phone safety.  Mr. Gayoso was joined by Mary Goedeke, Assistant County Attorney, Detective Tracy Faucett, Crawford County Sheriff's Department and Detective Rebecca Lynch, Pittsburg Police Department.  Each of the speakers addressed students on their area of expertise including topics such as inappropriate use of cell phone texting, social network safety, cyber bullying, and truancy.  Larry Hill, principal, asked the group to visit with the students in hopes of educating students on making wise decisions when using texting, chatting on social network sites, how important it is for students to be at school and arriving at school on time.
