NORTHEAST STUDENTS SELECTED FOR AMERICAN LEGION BOYS STATE
April 15, 2010
Arma American Legion, Post 182, and the Arma Homecoming Association, are sponsoring four junior boys from Northeast High School to be representatives at the Seventy-third session of The American Legion Boys' State of Kansas. This year's session will be held Sunday, June 6 through Saturday, June 12 on the campus of Kansas State University, Manhattan.
Representatives for this year include: Cole Scott, Austin Bogina, Aaron LeRoy, and Josh Tingley.
Cole Scott is the son of Keith and Jennifer Scott of Arma. Cole has participated in the following activities while at Northeast: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Student Council, National Honor Society, and was a Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Representative. Cole’s future plans are to pursue a career in Retail Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Engineering.
Austin Bogina is the son of Greg and Tracy Bogina of Arma. Austin has participated in the following activities while at Northeast: Cross Country, Basketball, Track, Baseball, Student Council, VIP, Spanish Club, and is an altar server at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Austin’s future plans are to attend college.
Aaron LeRoy is the son of Cindi and Kenneth Smith of Franklin. Aaron has participated in the following activities while at Northeast: Baseball, Basketball, Football, VIP, and Spanish Club. Aaron’s future plans are to attend college and advance in the field of microbiology and pathology.
Josh Tingley is the son of Gene and Kelly Tingley of Mulberry. Josh has participated in the following activities while at Northeast: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Student Council, Spanish Club, and National Honor Society. Josh’s future place are to attend college and go on to Pharmacy School.
Northeast High School and each of the representatives selected wish to thank the sponsoring organizations for their support of this year’s exercise in “learning government by doing”.
