Welcome Travis Allen

By SOCS Support

October 16, 2008

Mr. Travis Allen joined the Board of Education as the Position #4 Representative at the October 13, 2008 BOE Meeting.  After the application process and interview Allen was voted in.

“I feel that my diversified experience and background has provided me with the  scope of understanding that would compliment the current Board.”

“The majority of my childhood was spent in Southeast Kansas.  After honorably serving the United Stated Army, my family and I made this community our home.   Both of my children have had their entire scholastic foundation developed through the Northeast school district and are current students.  I have witnessed the growth and progress that has occurred in their education.”

“I understand that only through active involvement in the community, can I contribute towards the success and positive achievements of all students, staff and leaders of USD 246.”

Welcome Mr. Allen!

10/20/2008 Congratulation! Mr. Allen is the person to turn to concerning "Community Involvement". I've known Travis for some time now and his life appears to revolve around service to others, whether in his daily occupation or with veteran and community service through the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He truly is an "involved" person and I know he'll bring only the best to the BOE and the children for whom the Board serves. Again, Congratulations, Travis.
