PTO Family Game Night
The first annual PTO Family Game Night was held Thursday, October 9th at the Northeast Elementary School. Over 50 people came out to attend bingo night with one round of Deal or No Deal for a chance to win up to $100.00. The games of bingo were fast and furious especially for several students who won multiple games Allen McDaniel, Shelby Montgomery, Caylee Caruthers, Haley Robinson, and Shaina Lipasek. Our blackout winners won $10.00 a piece and they were Andrew Golob, Shaina Lipasek, and Lauren Valenzuela.
The highlight of the evening was our Deal or No Deal round. Shaina Lipasek was selected as the participant from a drawing of students present for game night. Her mother, Melissa, joined Shaina to select her winning envelope. During three rounds, Shaina selected envelopes and turned down the banker’s offer each time. In the end, she was down to the envelope she had selected and the one left on the board, either $100.00 or $30.00. Shaina was given the opportunity to change her envelope selection, but she decided to stay with envelope #8. She made the right decision and won $100.00. Shaina was the big winner of the night winning a total of $110.00 and many bingo prizes. Congratulations, Shaina!
Everyone had a great time and thanks to all that came out to support the PTO. A big thank you goes out to Ken Yoakum, our bingo caller, to Michelle Pryor, our bingo card seller, Pam Courtney, concession worker, and Lisa Yoakum, clean up crew, along with Michelle and Pam.
