Northeast Viking Elementary School Food Drive

Starting on October 5, 2009, Northeast Elementary School will kick off a food drive for the 2009 Holiday season.

Students will be asked to bring canned goods, dry box goods, or packages of diapers (for infants to 24 months) to donate for the food drive.

Students will be able to leave their donations in a collection box located in their homerooms. The class that accumulates the most points during the food drive will receive a pizza party in their homeroom during lunch time the week of Thanksgiving break.

Points for donations will be:
Canned goods -1 points
Dry box goods -2 points
Diapers -3 points

Parents are welcomed to bring items to donate during parent/teacher conferences during October 13-14 2009; those donations will count towards the student’s homeroom points.

The items will be donated to a local food bank in Arma the week before Thanksgiving.

Thank you for helping to make this holiday season more enjoyable for others, and for helping those in need.
