PTO Santa Shop

By Tina Valenzuela

December 16, 2009

Christmas music could be heard coming from the Northeast Elementary Library last week as the fourth annual Santa Shop was held.  Santa Shop, now Kids Korner Shop, had great gift ideas ranging in price from 25 cents to $10.00.

All students had a great time shopping especially with their 5th grade elves. Thanks to all our elves this year:  Lily Pearce, Sydney Casey, Kelsea Choate, Kamryn Osborn, Autumn Walker, Autumn Gillis, Shaina Lipasek, Faith Vittitoe, Matt Robinson, Jasmine Floyd, Lindsay Tindle, Ashley Watson, Ramiro Rosete, Kyla Zornes, Montana Parcell, Zack Adkins, Justice Westfall, Meredith Robinson, Brandon Connelly, and Hope DeMaranville.

The week wouldn’t have been a great success without our parent volunteers:  Theresa Brunskill, Vicki Stevens, Tony VanDorn, Dani Burns, Lisa Bualle, Tonya Armenta, Elizabeth McDowell, Kelly Cronister, and Lucinda Harris, thanks for donating your time to such a great cause.  A special thank you to staff that assisted:  Pam Courtney and Amy Christman, and a very, extra special thank you to Michelle Robinson and Sherry Crepinsek for dealing with all the phone calls during the week.

A lot of smiling faces left the Santa Shop each half hour as the students left with their prize possessions to leave under the tree until Christmas morning.  All of our students just love being able to purchase gifts for their families without them knowing what they have purchased.  They put a lot of effort into making sure they make the right selection for each family member.  Make sure you’re collecting box tops for our elementary snowball fight when we come back from break.

Merry Christmas to all.
